In medical culture, where exhaustion, cynicism, and “never enough” are normalized, it’s all too easy for burnout to hide.

Naming this reality is the first step — because once you can see it clearly, you can choose a different response.

It took time (and coaching to unlearn deeply rooted patterns), but I did it – and you can too.

After years in academic medicine, climbing the ranks to Professor and departmental Vice Chair, I said yes to all of these. I lived in a state of hustle and grind, not realizing how my perfectionism and need for external validation were preventing me from achieving real success.  It wasn’t until years of feeling this way that I’d had enough. 

Through my journey, I’ve realized I didn’t have to do it that way any longer; that I could choose my path and do things differently.  

I could choose to honor my nervous system and the rhythms of life; I could choose to listen to my emotions and hear the guidance that they were there to give me; I could make decisions from my own internal compass and knowing; I could have compassion for myself and take off the protective armor.

Your journey is guided through my signature RECLAIM framework, designed to move you from survival mode to soul-aligned living.

As your coach, I’ll be your guide to give you new perspectives that help you see your old patterns that are no longer serving you (and have led to burnout), so you can have the impact in the world you desire while also personally thriving.

While each session will be tailored to what you bring that day, I’ll partner with you to create your specific goals for our 4 months together to ensure we are focused on your top priorities.

9 x 60-minute 1:1 coaching sessions tailored to your real-time challenges and goals.

FAQs

Why coaching?

Information is easy to access, but transformation is harder. Coaching creates transformation by using perspective-shifting questions to uncover and remove the beliefs that keep you stuck. Change feels uncomfortable because our brains are wired to prefer the familiar—even when it’s harmful. Real change means questioning the thoughts you’ve assumed are true, and that’s nearly impossible to do alone. 

Additionally, coaching has been shown to reduce burnout in medicine at relatively small doses, just a few coaching sessions. This program is more intensive than the studied programs in order to ensure more substantial and lasting benefits.

How do I know if I’m experiencing burnout?

Burnout exists on a spectrum, and it looks different for everyone. You can take a quiz [link] to check your level of burnout. But if you’re asking the question, chances are you’ve experienced it to some degree. Burnout can ebb and flow, but if ignored, it deepens over time. The tools and coaching in this program help you reclaim energy and alignment, no matter where you are on that spectrum.

Can I benefit from Reclaim Your Life even if I am not burned out? 

The RECLAIM framework can support growth and transformation for women, both in and out of burnout. If not in burnout, the program can help women live and work with greater ease, finding more alignment and confidence.

What if I don’t have time?

Transformation does take time, but it can give you time back. In my own life, I used to work over 60 hours a week, never fully disconnecting on weekends or even during vacations. Once I addressed my own patterns of overfunctioning, people-pleasing, and perfectionism, I reduced my hours to about 45 per week—without changing the scope of my work.
